Replication - unexpected updates

1. Which database(s) are replicating from the client to the server?

Mail database, roaming files ( bookmarks, desktop, etc), other databases?

2. Verify the exact number of documents on the local and server copy of the database

The document count in the database properties popup is not always accurate.
File/ Application/ properties/ Info tab - Documents

How to get an accurate document count in a database?
1. Open the "All Documents" view in the database and select All - ctrl + A
2. Run this server console command : "show database mail\database.nsf" - it displays the Live and Deleted document count
3. Open the database using the Notespeek application

Title: NotesPeek 1.53 tool for viewing Notes databases on Notes 6.x and higher
Doc #: 4005686
URL: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg24005686

3. Enable logging on the Notes client to see what documents are being replicated :

Add these settings to the client
notes.ini Log_Replication=3        (adds logging of replication activity at the note level.)
CONSOLE_LOG_ENABLED=1
Restart the Notes client

recreate problem :
manually replicate the database

set notes.ini Log_Replication=0

The new console log will be saved here : c:\Lotus\Notes\Data\IBM_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT.
